I have been a subspecialty physician for 30 + years. I have seen how society devalues women, both at home and in the workplace by continually placing more value of women’s beauty over brains. My coworkers and I have experienced this inequality and unfair treatment of women in the professional setting over the years.
My passion and motivation to write my empowering books derives from wanting to help women who have experienced similar situations.
My aim is to empower women, not make them into "little men." By doing so, I hope to accelerate the overall equality of the sexes in all areas of life!
My other passions include employee rights and corporate social responsibility. My first-hand experience concerning these topics stem from my experience of being fired for " challenging the status-quo" at work. I realized to late the cost of working for a corporation without a "soul". These experiences have allowed me to help others navigate the workforce and become empowered as employees with rights.I provide hope that if others search for companies with ethics and integrity, they will indeed be re-hired.
Finally, as a physician, I have dealt with many issues concerning death, including the right to assist death "with dignity". My "intimate interview" with Death itself, puts a unique spin to the topic.
My hope is to continue to help others live empowered, joyful lives and enjoy this journey called life!
I believe in the power of words to change how we perceive ourselves and the world around us. I love to write about the topics I am passionate about especially topics that I feel can impact others lives for the better.
As a woman physician, my experiences have helped shape my writing roots towards helping others.
Fiction is not my forte except for writing children books which allow animals to communicate with humans to help teach them important lessons. Check out what I believe to be the best self help books that will help empower you!
I chose this picture of one of my roses because of the analogy a rose and my writing style has.
A rose has many layers until the stigma (central part) is reached. My writing also has many layers until the center or crux of the matter I am writing about is revealed.
In both cases, each layer is part of the whole, missing one layer will diminish the whole impact all the layers make together.
